One of the Future Treatments of Medicine
If you live with Fibromyalgia or chronic pain, you know how relentless and exhausting it can be. The widespread aches, muscle stiffness, fatigue, and sensitivity to touch can make even the smallest daily tasks feel overwhelming.
Many people with Fibromyalgia spend years trying different treatments, pain medications, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, and alternative therapies, only to find limited relief.
But what if there was a non-invasive, drug-free way to manage Fibromyalgia pain and help soothe aching muscles?
MLS Laser Therapy also called Photobimodulation Therapy, is gaining attention as a promising option for reducing inflammation, easing muscle stiffness, and improving quality of life for those with Fibromyalgia and other chronic pain conditions.
If you’re looking for gentler, longer-lasting pain relief, let’s explore how MLS Laser Therapy may help manage Fibromyalgia symptoms naturally.

What is MLS Laser Therapy?
MLS (Multiwave Locked System) Laser Therapy uses synchronized light wavelengths—both continuous and pulsed—to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes. This cutting-edge, non-invasive treatment creates a powerful, synergistic effect that:
-
Reduces Inflammation – Chronic inflammation can worsen Fibromyalgia pain. Laser therapy helps calm the inflammatory response, reducing swelling and stiffness.
-
Eases Muscle Tension & Stiffness – Many Fibromyalgia patients struggle with muscle knots and tenderness. Laser Therapy helps relax tight muscles, reducing spasms and improving mobility.
-
Promotes Nerve Health – Fibromyalgia often involves nerve hypersensitivity, making even light pressure painful. Laser therapy may help soothe overactive nerves, leading to less discomfort.
-
Enhances Circulation – Many people with fibromyalgia have poor blood flow to muscles and tissues, which can worsen stiffness and fatigue. Laser Therapy boosts circulation, delivering more oxygen and nutrients to sore areas.
-
Supports Better Sleep & Energy Levels – Chronic pain can disrupt sleep, leading to fatigue and low energy. By reducing pain and promoting relaxation, Laser Therapy may help improve overall well-being and sleep quality.
-
For many Fibromyalgia sufferers, Laser Therapy offers a gentle, non-invasive way to manage pain without the side effects of medications.
Unlike traditional continuous-wave lasers, the Medical Class 4 MLS Laser at Tamworth Fibromyalgia Clinic is superpulsed, meaning it operates at a rate so fast that it does not produce heat, making it completely safe, even with repeated use.
This advanced technology, also known as Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBM), provides safe, painless, and effective treatment for Fibromyalga.
MLS Laser Therapy at our Tamworth Pain Clinic can help accelerate healing and improve quality of life.
What to expect during treatment:
Your journey begins with a consultation by our Soft TissueTherapist, who will then discuss your treatment options with you, and create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
If laser therapy is recommended, laser therapy sessions involve a three-stage process: scanning, treatment, and trigger point release. All laser treatment stages are painless and heat-free.
Scanning: The laser is moved over the area surrounding the affected tissues. This can be on-contact using our hand peice or off-contact using the robotic head.
Treatment: The affected area is treated, which may involve keeping the laser still over several points or moving it around, depending on the nature of the injury. This is painless and heat-free.
Trigger points: These knots can be released when the laser is applied over them for approximately 25 seconds per trigger point.
Fusion Therapy: We can incorporate one or more modalities into your treatment i.e. massage therapy and Ultrasound therapy can be combined with your laser treatment.
How many Laser Treatments for Fibromyalgia do I need?
The number of treatments prescribed depends on the nature of the condition being treated. Like antibiotics, each treatment is cumulative in its effectiveness, building off the previous treatments; therefore, expect to see improvement as you proceed through your treatment plan.
Most clients experience positive results in 1 to 3 treatments, with the average course of treatment being 6 to 8 sessions.
